Special Procedure Tech at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital
provides essential pre, intra, and post-operative care for patients
undergoing heart and vascular procedures. This role involves
monitoring hemodynamics, performing IV starts, and educating
patients and families, requiring a background in cardiovascular
technology or equivalent training. The position is full-time, with
a focus on delivering quality patient-centered care in a

Hospital In response to the health care needs of a growing
community, in 1977, Corewell opened a new 189-bed hospital on rural
farmland in Troy. Today, Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital has
grown to 530 licensed beds and offers a comprehensive array of
health care services, continuing to develop to meet the needs of
the growing communities it serves. Scope of work Under general
supervision, the Special Procedure Tech provides direct care pre,
intra, and post for patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular
procedures to assist physicians and delivers quality patient/family
centered care. The incumbent may be required to perform IV starts,
prep patients, monitor hemodynamics, operate equipment, document
procedures, vascular access site management, and provide
patient/family education. Qualifications
- Interventional Radiology requires completion of an accredited
radiography program (JRCERT).
- Cath Lab/EP Lab requires employee to be a graduate of
Cardiovascular Technologist program, associate degree in
cardiovascular technology/basic science, Paramedic license,
Exercise Physiologist, or equivalent training and/or education.
- Clinical experience required through graduation of one of the
above listed programs.
- 1 year of experience in EP, Cath Lab or IR is required.
- IR requires BLS certification and active RT status upon hire,
RT-CV or VI within 2 years of hire.
- Cath Lab requires BLS upon hire and ACLS within time frame
identified by each individual site with a maximum of 6 months.
Registered RCES/RCIS/RT certification, and IABP certification.
- EP Lab requires BLS upon hire and ACLS within time frame
identified by each individual site with a maximum of 6 months.
